my story

Hey there! My name is Junjin, but you can call me Jun. I’m an undergraduate at the University of Michigan’s School of Information, studying UX Design.

I was born and raised in Queens, New York- one of the most diverse places in the world. Growing up surrounded by language, culture, and art shaped how I see the world and how I design. I attended an elementary school that prioritized the arts, where I learned the clarinet, saxophone, violin, and spent hours in the art studio and theater.

Years later, I attended a STEM-focused specialized high school where I fell in love with technology- but missed the emotion and creativity that art brought into my life. UX and product design became the perfect blend of both: a space where I could merge logic with feeling, and build experiences that are not only usable, but human.
